4. Pom Pom Rugs
Hold the end of the yarn on your palm using your thumb. With your other hand, wrap the yarn around your fingers. You can use 2, 3 or 4 fingers depending on the size of pom-pom you want.
Wrap the yarn around 40 to 50 times to make it dense. Slide it off your fingers then tie a knot in the middle of the yarn using another piece of yarn, and finally cut it into half from the edges. Your pom poms are ready. Make 50 more( or more as per needed) and stitch them in any desired pattern for your rug. This can serve as home decor for your bathrooms, foot mats and welcome mats on the entrance of your home.
You can use a variety of materials to make coasters. You can use fabric and cut them into a variety of patterns and actually stitch them together. As a matter of fact, one can use thin rope and swirl it into circular patterns, stick the rope while swirling onto the Popsicle sticks with the help of a glue gun and consequently create a patterned coaster.
You can use ice cream sticks and make wooden pallet coasters as well.
